Study 7: Court Order Compliance

J&R was contracted by an out of state resident to verify if a court order he received involving supervision of his two small children was being upheld while the children were on vacation with their mother and her boyfriend. The boyfriend had a history of alcohol use and DWI. The court order prohibited the boyfriend from drinking in the presence of the children or driving while they were in the mother’s vehicle.

J&R investigators registered at the motel where the mother, children and boyfriend were vacationing. They observed and photographed many instances where the boyfriend was using alcohol in the presence of the children. The boyfriend was also seen driving the mother’s vehicle with the mother and children as passengers. The client’s attorney presented the information and photographs to the judge that disclosed the court’s order was violated.
